Back in Nashville for tornados

We arrive back in Nashville for the first time in 6 months and we have tornado warnings/watches.  I'm not a big fan of tornadoes per say.  Hurricanes in Florida you have a warning, you leave, you come back to devastation or no devastation.  Tornadoes?  Bullshit!  So, the plan was to prepare.  Therefore you get as much junkfood as you possibly can.  If you are used to eating healthly and think there is a possibility that your life is in danger stick with the comfort foods.  We were thinking, "Polenta and lettuce just do not make me feel safe.  Doritos and twinkies on the other hand........."  I'm sitting here now, after eating one package of my tornado supply of chocolate zingers.  So far I'm thinkin' it's all good.  No warnings/watches at the moment, so I might as well start eating the supplies.

Georgia, rope swings and rednecks

Yesterday we went out with my brother and his girlfriend to a local swimming hole called the Blue Hole. This place is a dream for rope swing lover's of the world. Apparently it is so deep there are cars and a bus at the bottom. It was absolutely beautiful and the people there were so friendly and so drunk. Totally awesome! I was so scared to make my first jump I was shaking and terrified the water was going to be cold but once I jumped I wanted to keep going. What a frigging blast! On my third jump I hit a branch or turtle and now my leg is all bruised up. I didn't say anything at the time as my brother's girlfriend was terrified of jumping and I did not want that to dissuade her. My brother was explaining to me how one kid did a jackknife into the water, ended up hitting a turtle and shattering his kneecaps. The entire crowd of people spent an hour trying to convince my brother's girlfriend to jump. One dude even brought his snake out of his truck to try and scare her into jumping. Apparently, she likes snakes so it did not work. Yay finally she did it and the fun continued.  What a great time!
